Last Night was written, produced and directed by Massy Tadjedin, featuring: Kiera Knightly, Sam Worthington, and Eva Mendes.
So last night, I watched Last Night with my lady because its on Netflix and we had nothing else to watch. Bad choice my friend, bad choice, it left with a bad taste in my mouth. So, Knightly is emotionally still in love with her ex-boyfriend from France, while Worthington on the other hand loves his wife so much and he would never be unfaithful, right? They both get tempted on the same night and the results are shocking!
Spoilers Below! Beware!
Well, everything in the movie turns out to be ass-backwards and Knightly does not cheat on her husband with her ex-lover. Although, she is obviously still in love with him and has a pictures of him hidden in her apartment, okay? She can’t get over him and has not gotten over him and when he shows up to be with her, he is shut down! What? But is the kicker though, Worthington who LOVES his wife so much, ends up cheating after he is given NUMEROUS, plenty, and countless opportunities to remain faithful. Instead, he just lingers around while Mendes continues to try to seduce him like a broken recording saying, “Yeah, I love my wife. I would never do anything.” Dumb. Worthington is so indecisive and conflicted it is just annoying.
Thanks Massy Tadjedin, way to bash men as unfaithful dogs who can not control themselves when an attractive co-worker shows interest. Let’s also glorify this woman for not cheating although this is the “one that got away” and it was just bad timing. Not a film I would recommend to a friend or a foe.
What did you think? So am I right or am I right?
